National Chemistry Week 2025
The ACS sponsors an Illustrated Poem Contest
every year for
National Chemistry Week.
The 2025 theme is:
“The Hidden Life of Spices”
Chemistry plays a crucial role in how
spices can create various smells and flavors,
while also acting as medicine or fabric dyes.
NCW will be celebrated 19-25 October 2025,
Charlie Guttendorf of Bucknell University is the local National Chemistry Week coordinator.
The Susquehanna Valley Section is once again collecting illustrated poems for this year’s event. Please contact Charlie Guttendorf at cg029@bucknell.edu if you have questions or to make a submission.
The preferred method of submission is by email,
which can be sent to cg029@bucknell.edu
All entries that you would like to physically send
can be placed in a sealed envelope
with a completed paper-clipped entry
