  1. 12 September 2012 - [7:30PM at Bucknell University]: The meeting will feature a presentation by our invited speaker and will be preceded by a social hour at 5:00 and dinner at 6:00. The guest speaker is Kevin Edgar , Ph. D. of the Sustainable Biomaterials Department at Virginia Tech who will present a talk titled "Polysaccharides: Incredibly Complex Natural Materials Enabling Uses from Medicine to Wide-screen TVs!"   2. 18 October 2012, Thursday - [7:00PM at Wilkes University]: The second annual Bone Lecture will feature a presentation by the invited speaker and will be preceded by a dinner and social hour. The guest speaker is Roald Hoffmann , Ph. D. Professor Emeritus of the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department at Cornell University who will present a talk titled "The Chemical Imagination at Work in Very Tight Places." Get details.

  3. 14 November 2012 -[7:00PM at Lycoming College] The meeting will feature a presentation by the invited speaker and will be preceded by a dinner and social hour. The guest speaker is Gregory S. Ferguson, Ph. D. Professor in the Departments of Chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering Lehigh University who will present a talk titled "Regioselective Placement of Ligands on Surfaces: Studies at the Nexus of Surface Chemistry, Solution Chemistry, and Electrochemistry" Get details.

    12 December 2012 - [Executive Board Meeting, at Bloomsburg University]

  4. 13 February 2013 - [7:00PM at Merck, Riverside] The meeting will feature a presentation and tour and will be preceded by dinner at 6:00. The presentation will be a brief overview of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) chemical manufacturing and will be followed by a tour of the production facility. NOTE: Registration is required by 8:00 AM, February 11, 2013 for site security reasons. Get details.

  5. 13 March 2013 -[at King’s College] The meeting will feature a presentation by the invited speaker and will be preceded by a dinner and social hour. The guest speaker is Jared J. Paul, Ph. D. Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Villanova University who will present a talk titled "Acid/Base and Electronic Properties of Ruthenium Complexes with Hydroxyl-Substituted-Polypyridyl Ligands."   6. Revised meeting date is 17 April 2013 - [at Susquehanna University] The meeting will feature a presentation by the invited speaker and will be preceded by a dinner and social hour. The guest speaker is Scott T. Phillips, Martarano Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The Pennsylvania State University who will present a talk titled "New Reagents and Assay Strategies for Point-of-Care Diagnostics."   7. 8 May 2013 - [Annual Awards Banquet at Bloomsburg University] With the presentation of various local section awards, the Annual Awards Banquet recognizes both aspiring and accomplished chemistry professionals in the area who have helped to promote chemistry, the chemical professions, and the section. The dinner will be at 6:00 in ballroom 1 and 2 of the Kehr Union Building. Registration begins at 5:30. Please contact Dr. David Rovnyak (drovnyak@bucknell.edu, 5570-577-3676) for reservations. The speaker for the eveining will be Dr. Will Kerber of Bucknell University who will present a talk entitled "Structure and Reactivity of Biomimetic μ-Oxo Diiron(III) Polypyridyl Complexes."
