2023 - 2024 Schedule

SVS meetings are typically held in the evening on the second Wednesday of the month at rotating locations around the section. Any meeting that is moved from this standard date is indicated in red. Information is added and edited monthly, so check the site often!

469. 20 September 2023 - 7:00 pm at Bucknell University Third Wednesday in September: The meeting will feature Hasan Arslan, Ph. D, from Bucknell University. The title of the evening's talk will be "Switchable host-guest interactions of cationic macrocycles." The lecture will be preceded by a dinner at 6:00. Get details.

470. 18 October 2023 - 7:00 pm at Wilkes University Third Wednesday in October : The Henry J. and Linda C. Pownall Lecture will feature Dr. Ann Valentine, Professor of Chemistry at Temple University, who will present a talk titled "Exploring a Role for Titanium in Biochemistry. The title of the evening's talk will be "The Modern Science of Ancient Food: Advances in the Analysis of Starches and Phytoliths from Archaeological Contexts in the Americas."
